Introduction

I’d like to introduce myself and the general purpose of this blog.   First, what I am not…I am not a counsellor, therapist, psychologist or medical practitioner so anything you see on this blog that you want to try out for yourself, please feel free but use common sense. If you are concerned or have serious health challenges consult your medical practitioner for advise.  Ok, now that I’ve got that off my chest, you’ll have noticed by now that I’m also not a journalist and that journalling is not my strong suit.

So, what am I?  (There’s an age old question! I feel like I’ve regressed to the late ’60’s.) I’m  a professional health coach and speaker. I’ve helped numerous people with various health related issues but I tend to specialize in stress management tips and stress reduction techiques for working parents.  I, also, have 30 years experience in “Corporate America” with the last 11 years volunteering in the Employment Assistance Program (EAP).  It’s a peer to peer system, supported jointly by labor and management to give confidential assistance to any employee with a problem. The range of problems heard by EAP agents run from addiction, family issues, medical, financial and beyond.   (By the way, if you have EAP in your work place, I highly recommend you take advantage of it if you need some assistance or just someone to talk to. )

The general purpose of this blog is to provide some stress management tips and tips on other health related issues for you. Since each indivudal is blessedly unique, you’ll find that some things work better for you than others. I would love to hear what works for you!

Personally, I like humour…so, no matter what, find a way to laugh today!
